Wall Ovens and Ranges - Oven Interior Warm When Not In Use
If you open the oven door and the interior feels warm or hot, this can be normal.
- The oven interior is designed to retain heat, even several hours after the oven has been turned off after cooking.
- The interior light may have been left on. The bulb can put off enough heat to warm the oven if left on. Check for a switch on the backsplash of the range that controls the oven light and make sure it is in the OFF position.
- If your oven light comes on when the door is opened, having the door open for an extended period of time will cause the light bulb to heat the oven so that it feels warm.
