Venting Systems - No Air Flow on JV566, JV565, JV536, and JV535 Hoods

For models JV566, JV536, JV565, and JV535 (older model no longer in production):

If there is no air flow coming from the hood, through the slots as you expect, make sure the recirculation lever is set to the proper position. These models can be set to vent outside or to recirculate air back into the kitchen. If there is no air flowing from the recirculation slots, the vent lever could be set wrong. The plastic vent lever is located in the back, center of the hood, behind the grease filters.

• To vent to the outside, make sure the plastic vent lever is in the HORIZONTAL position (flat against the metal top of the hood).
• To recirculate air into the kitchen, make sure the plastic vent is in the VERTICAL position, (flat against the plastic vent housing.)

 

NOTE: In order to change the vent lever position, you will need to pull the lever out slightly to clear the plastic tabs.
