Zoneline Heat Sentinel

Heat Sentinel feature protects against overheating instead of freezing in a room. This feature improves room comfort as well as reduces operating costs.  If the room temperature exceeds 85 degrees Fahrenheit, Heat Sentinel automatically turns on the air conditioner and cools the room to 80 degrees.Heat Sentinel comes from the factory turned off, but if activated, it operates like Freeze Sentinel where as long as the unit is powered (even in the stop/off mode) the unit will automatically turn on if the temperature limit is reached.

This serves two purposes:

  1. First, it is more cost effective to maintain a room between 80-85 degrees than it is to cool it down from a higher temperature.
  2. Second, when used in hotels, motels, etc., guests are much more satisfied with rooms that cool down quickly … and long cool down periods are inevitable if room temperatures are allowed to exceed 85 degrees.

This valuable feature enhances energy efficiency and guest comfort. However, like Freeze Sentinel, the property manager can deactivate the feature if desired.
