Softening Brown Sugar in Microwave
To soften brown sugar after it has hardened:
- Measure and place brown sugar in a microwave-safe dish.
- Cover with a damp (not wet) paper towel.
- Heat for 30 seconds If not yet softened, continue to heat for 10 second intervals, checking the softness as you go to avoid melting the sugar.
- Fluff with a fork.
