Monogram Gas Cooking Appliances - Liquid Propane (LP) Conversion
Monogram gas ranges, rangetops, and cooktops should be installed and converted to LP, if required, by a qualified gas distributor, technician or installer.
Converting Monogram Gas Cooking Appliances for Liquid Propane (LP) Use
Monogram gas appliances are sold as Natural Gas but include the LP conversion kit, if needed. In the past Monogram gas cooking products were sold as Natural Gas or LP only, though some could be converted to NG or LP using a conversion kit that was sold separately.
The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) or included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator.
Indications of an Incorrect LP Gas Conversion
If the product is not converted to LP Gas properly, you may notice the following:
All flames are too high, yellow, causing soot, and/or noisy: Contact the installer or gas company to check the appliance. These issues are caused by an improper or incomplete conversion. LP conversion is not covered by the Monogram warranty.
Only 1 or 2 burners too high, yellow, causing soot, and/or noisy: Contact the installer or gas company to check the appliance. The installer or gas technician forget to convert all of the burners. All LP orifices need to be changed from natural gas to liquid propane.
If an LP conversion kit is needed, contact GE Appliance Parts at 1-877-959-8688 or purchase the kit from the GE Appliances Parts & Accessories website.
