The GE Profile​​​​​​​™ GEOSPRING​​​​​​​™ can be used on a generator as long as the generator can provide the required service as noted on the rating plate of the water heater ( 240/208VAC 30A, 60Hz) on a dedicated circuit and is properly installed and wired as required in the Installation Instructions.
