GE Profile™ GEOSPRING™ Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater - Well Water

The use of well water will not affect the GE Profile™ GEOSPRING™ Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater any differently than a regular electric water heater.

We provide a magnesium anode rod that may need to be replaced with an aluminum anode rod should the magnesium be affected by your particular water chemistry. One indicator is if your water has a sulfur or rotten egg smell. The aluminum anode rod is available through GE Appliances Parts and can be replaced by a qualified plumber.

On the GE Profile™ GEOSPRING™ with FlexCapacity, by storing water at the elevated temperatures on the High or XHigh setting will reduce any bacteria causing odor in potable water and create an environment where bacteria doesn't grow.
