GeoSpring Water Temperature Adjustment

The GeoSpring™ can be set between 100F to 140F, even in Heat Pump (or eHeat on older models) and Hybrid mode. The thermostat has been set at the factory to Hybrid mode and 120F (complying with Underwriters Laboratory standards) to reduce the risk of scald injury; however, the temperature can adjusted based on personal preferences.

Setting the temperature of your water heater lower than 135°F or running your GeoSpring in Heat Pump mode increases your potential to maximize energy savings with GeoSpring.

Safety and energy conservation are factors to be considered when selecting the water temperature setting via the water heater's use interface. Water temperatures above 120F can cause severe burns from scalding. Be sure to read and follow the warnings and recommendations outlined in the owner's manual.
