Washer Filter-Flo Pan

At one time, GE produced select large and extra-large washers with the Filter-Flo pan system that trapped lint, hair, and fine particles like sand so that they don't redeposit onto the clothes.  There models have not been manufactured in many years.

The filter pan moved with the agitator. This movement causes lint collected in the filter pan to form balls wich reduced the clogging of the filter and made it easier to clean. The filter pan also held powdered detergent until it was properly dissolved before it was added to the wash.

A Filter-Flo pan cannot be added to a model that did not originally come with one.
