Reverse Osmosis - Leaking
Leaks From Units That Are Brand NewLeak from the faucet base behind the monitor on a new installation is probably a result of an incorrect installation. Turn off the water at the saddle valve and call the installer. Authorized installers provide a 30-day warranty on their installation. If the leak is excessive and your floor is flooding, etc… turn off the saddle valve located on the incoming cold water line, and the storage tank(s). Turn the valve's handle clockwise to turn the water off. The storage tanks on the PNRV18 model have a red tear drop looking like a knob near the top cap. On the PNRV12 model have a blue knob on top of the storage tank. The knobs turn left or right depending on the tank orientation. However, they only turn one way. Once the water is shut off, call your installer.Small leaks from fittings, from the saddle valve or water tube connections may require only minor tightening. This can be done with pliers, screwdrivers, wrench. Locate the source of the leak, adjust it, and check for operation. Call an installer if the operation is unsuccessful.Leaks From The Monitor Base On The Units That Have Been In Service For Some TimeIf the gravity drain line from the faucet to the drainpipe becomes clogged anywhere in the tubing or at the drain connection, the water will back-up and leak out the air-gap. Check the drain line for clog and clean if necessary.
