Problems While Changing Your PNRV12 Reverse Osmosis System Filter

If you cannot get the sumps loose, turn off the water and storage tanks. Open the faucet to let the storage tank empty. Using the special wrench provided, turn sump from right to left to loosen it.If the unit leaks when reassembled, you may need to tighten the sumps. They should be hand-tight plus 1/4 turn left to right.

If you are getting no water, be sure to turn the saddle valve and storage tank back on. Allow 4 hours for the storage tank to fill.

If after changing the filter, the filter light is still on, the batteries must be changed when changing filters. Batteries are located in the electronic monitor. The monitor is a white box 3 inches square with 4 tubes attached to it, mounted on the wall near the unit.Take the cover off by the snaps on each side, remove old batteries, and replace them with 4 fresh AA 1.5 volt batteries. Be sure they are installed correctly, and follow the diagram on the monitor case.If after changing your filter there are black particles in the water, these are excessive carbon fines (dust) from new filters. The system needs to be flushed, possibly several times. Allow the tank to fill, which takes approximately 4 hours, and turn on the faucet. Completely empty the tank and repeat this process until the particles are gone.
