Water Softener - Manual Recharge
There are times when you may need to manually start the recharge process on a water softener. Examples of this are:
- You have used more water than usual because of houseguests or a large laundry day and therefore may run out of soft water before the next recharge.
- The system ran out of salt.
Initiating a Manual Recharge Cycle on a Water Softener
Use one of the following recharge features if you need to recharge manually.
- Recharge Tonight: A recharge will occur at the next pre-set recharge start time.
- Recharge Now: The water softener will immediately begin to recharge. In approximately 2 hours you will have a new supply of soft water. During recharge the softener goes into an automatic bypass. Although you will not have soft water during this time, hard water will be available.
