Water Softener - Chlorine

Chlorine above 2 ppm can start to degrade the resin beads in the water softener. If you have chlorine in excess of this amount, it can reduce the life of the resin. In these conditions, you may want to consider a whole-home filter that removes chlorine upstream (before) the water softener.
