Cleaning Under Tilt-Lock Surface Burners
Tilt-Lock (hardwired) surface units can be lifted and locked in a stand-up position for cleaning under units. We recommend cleaining the area under reflector pans frequently to avoid accumulation of soil and grease.
To Lift Tilt-Lock Surface Unit:
- Be certain the control for that unit is at OFF
- Make sure surface burners are cool.
- Lift surface burner until the unit locks into stand-up position.
After lifting the surface unit, remove the trim ring and then the reflector pan to clean under the unit. Clean the reflector pan and trim ring with soap and water as directed in your Owner's Manual.
To Reposition Tilt-Lock Surface Unit:
- Replace reflector pan into the recess in the cooktop.
- Put the trim ring in place over reflector pan.
- Guide the surface unit into place so it fits evenly into trim ring. Unless the reflector pan is under the trim ring, the surface unit cannot be returned to proper horizontal (level) position.
