Cleaning Auto Clean Rack and Broil Reflector in Oven

Auto Clean rack / shelves on older GE ranges:

• Oven racks are chrome plated.
• Place racks in A & C positions in oven during self-clean. During cleaning, racks may become iridescent and may lose some luster. Oven racks discolor to a deep gray after a few cleanings or, in some cases, after the first cleaning.
• If you don't want the racks to discolor, clean with soap and water and never put in the self-cleaning cycle.

Auto Clean broil reflector on older GE ranges:

• The broil reflector is found at the top of the upper oven over broil unit.
• To remove the reflector grasp the front, lift straight up and pull out (similar to a refrigerator vegetable drawer).
• To clean - slide out broil reflector and place soiled side toward bottom of oven, on either rack in self-clean oven.
