Operating a Batch Feed Disposer

The Batch Feed is safe and easy to operate. It will not operate until the cap is inserted, which is an added safety feature. It is activated by inserting the cap into the opening to the hopper and twisting or aligning the cap and pushing down firmly. Check Owner's Manual for specific instructions. Load food waste into hopper until it is full but do not pack down, turn cold water on and insert cap. Twist stopper cap (or push down) and let run until food waste has been flushed away, then remove stopper.

How to load and operate a batch feed disposal:

1. Remove switch top sink drain stopper.
2. Scrape food waste into disposer through sink drain but DO NOT pack too tightly.
3. Turn on cold water to full flow.
4. Replace Twist-top sink drain stopper and turn handle clockwise to start disposer.
5. When grinding sound stops turn the Twistop handle counter clockwise to stop disposer.
6. Wait 30 seconds and then turn off cold water.
