Dishwasher - Hard Food Disposer

Understanding the Hard Food Disposer In a Dishwasher

Our dishwashers have an anti-jamming Piranha hard food disposer. The Piranha food disposer inside the dishwasher grinds food particles before they go down the drain. This clears the passage through to the drain and eliminates the need to pre-rinse dishes. The Piranha hard food disposer is made of stainless steel and will never rust.

This motor has a small stainless steel blade that chops up food before it passes through the pump screen and into the pump area. This blade spins at 3200 revolutions per minute. The motor pumps 35 gallons of water per minute past the food disposer, through the pump, and back into the tub.
