What is PTAC?

PTAC stands for Package Terminal Air Conditioner.  Package terminal air conditioners are self-contained units designed for through-the-wall installations in hotels, motels, apartments, hospitals, nursing homes and add-on rooms.

GE Appliances Zoneline products are considered PTAC units. Another term may be PTHP for Package Terminal Heat PumpNote: The 7500 and 8500 series model Zonelines are called Vertical Package Terminal Air Conditioners.
