GE Profile™ GEOSPRING™ Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater - Concerns About Cold Air Affecting Home's Temperature
Typically, water heaters are located in "unconditioned spaces" like garages, basements, and attics that don't provide an air supply to your HVAC system. Because of this, heat removed from these unconditioned spaces by a heat pump water heater likely would not need to be replaced by a furnace and wouldn't have any impact on the operation or efficiency of your HVAC system.
Even if a heat pump water heater is in a "conditioned space" inside your home, like a utility room, the cooling and dehumidifying effect of the water heater is generally minimal. There is little impact on overall energy consumption in the home over the course of the year.
Accessories
An optional PH10VK ducting kit is now available to enable flexibility of installation in living areas and confined spaces for maximum comfort.
