Rating Plate Location on Older Air Conditioners

The rating plate contains important information, like you model and serial number, power ratings, and manufacturing location. The location of the rating plate varies depending on the product.

  • 1998 and newer models: Locate Model and Serial Number  
  • Prior to 1998:
    • AGA, AA, AHH, KH: Left edge of control plate.
    • AGB, A1B, A2B, A3B, etc. AZC: Front of control box; above fan orifice.
    • AGC, AC, AHC, KC: Lower left front.
    • AGD, AD: Lower left front of basepan flange.
    • AHL, KL: Lower left front of basepan flange.
    • AGF, AF; AHM, KM: Lower left front of basepan flange.
    • AGJ, AJ, AHJ, KJ: Inside of left side panel; Next to fan.
    • AGT, AT, AHT, KT: Above indoor fan orifice.
    • AGG, AG, AHG: Lower left front of basepan flange.
    • AGU, AU, AHU, KU: Lower left front of chassis. 
    • AQ ACS, KQ: Discharge area behind front grille
