Disposer Will Not Drain

If your disposer will not drain, the cause is usually one of the following:

1. Food is still remaining in the garbage disposal. Run the disposal a little longer until the food has been completely ground up. CAUTION: NEVER PUT YOUR HAND INTO THE DISPOSER. BE SURE TO TURN OFF POWER FIRST, THEN ALWAYS USE TONGS OR A LARGE SPOON TO REMOVE OBJECTS FROM THE DISPOSER.
2. The plumbing is clogged. This may require a qualified plumber to correct.
