Refrigerator - Icemaker Use With Bottled Water

Refrigerators with icemakers and/or dispensers require a cold water supply connection. The water pressure must be between 20 and 120 PSI. They must be connected to the household water supply.

Using a Bottled Water Supply with a Refrigerator

A refrigerator cannot be hooked up to a bottled water dispenser. It it takes about 15 lbs. of pressure to force the water through the system to the icemaker. Bottled water uses gravity to fill and will not give that much water pressure.
