Dishwasher - Normal Water Levels on GSD Models

There are many dishwashers whose model number begins with the letters GSD. This article describes the expected amount of water in the bottom of the tub on models starting with GSD during a wash cycle.

Checking the Water Level on GSD Dishwasher Models

Wait until the dishwasher has filled with water, open the door and look inside. For all plastic tub models the water should measure 3/8 of an inch to one inch above the hub. The hub is the raised portion the wash arm turns on. For porcelain and metal tub models the water should measure 1/2 of an inch below the heating element.

An easy way to determine when the dishwasher has stopped filling for the main wash is to close the detergent cup and start the cycle. When you hear the cup snap open that is the main wash.
