Gas Range - Oven Will Not Turn On - Pilot Light Models
If the oven will not turn on or ignite on a Standing Pilot Gas Range model, the oven standing pilot will need to be lighted manually. This applies to some non-self-clean, Freestanding Gas Ranges, including the models listed below:- JGBS04PPH2CT

Lighting the Pilot Light
- Remove the oven door. To remove the oven door, see the Owner's Manual for the specific model you own.
- Remove the oven racks.
- Remove the oven bottom by removing the knurled screw that holds the oven bottom down at the rear.
- Locate the pilot in the back of the compartment. The pilot is attached to the left side of the oven burner.
- To light the oven pilot, push in and hold the oven control knob in for 1 minute before releasing. Put a lit match next to the pilot so that the pilot will ignite.
- Replace the oven bottom and replace the knurled screw. Replace the oven racks and replace the oven door.
