Relectric Range and Cooktop - Infinite vs Electroinc "No Pulse" Burners

Ranges and cooktops with "traditional" burner knobs control the cooktop elements have infinite controls. Infinite controls cycle on and off as the element heats up to temperature. As they cycle, they look like the element is pulsing.Ranges and cooktops with electronic burner controls rather than knobs do not have infinite controls.  For these models, the electronic glass touch controls power the elements with even energy to get the element to temperature. This means the element does not "pulse" on and off.
