Some gas ranges and cooktops feature a Power Boil™ Burner. This burner is able to provide optimum boiling results.

Understanding the Use of the Power Boil™ Burner

The Power Boil™ Burner BTUs provide high heat for fast boiling. This is enough power to heat the largest stock pot, wok for high temperature cooking or for home canning. It will simmer at 180 degrees Fahrenheit*.*Temperature is measured in thick sauce after 90 minutes.

It is normal to see an irregular teeth pattern on the burner head. The reason is that the burner is optimized to give both good high "Power Boil" heat performance as well as provide good performance and flame size at other settings.

We don't publish the low BTU rating of burners because it doesn't give you a true indication of the flexibility of the burner. The temperature is listed to give a better understanding.
