Air Conditioner - Air Vents

Air Vents on Outer Case of Room Air ConditionersSome Room Air Conditioner models will have air vents across the top of the outer case. These are there to help keep the Condensor and Compressor cool. Some rain water may fall into the OUTER case of the unit. The components are weather protected and can take the rain, wind and other conditions without damaging the unit. The units fan slinger system will pick up the water and blow it on the condensor coils which will evaporate the water. Also, the side louvers are directed upwards, this design has been tested and proven to be the best at moving air in and around the Compressor and Condensor to help keep the unit operating at peak efficiency. Again some rain water may fall into the outside of the case, however it will not cause any damage to the unit and no water will migrate into the roomside portion of the Air Conditioner.
