Dishwasher - Definition of Quiet Motor

Most dishwashers manufactured 2001 and after use a new capacitor start induction motor (rather than relay start), which is quieter in operation. It also requires less air flow under the dishwasher to keep it cool which allows us to enclose the motor area and prevent most motor noise from migrating into the kitchen. The quiet motor is suspended by rubber boots just as our other dishwasher motor is to additionally absorb any vibration from the motor. There is no horsepower rating on this motor or our previous shaded pole motor.
