Washer - Fast Pour Bleach Dispenser

Starting in 1995, some GE, Hotpoint, and RCA Top-Load washers started featuring a "fast pour" bleach dispenser. This has remained as a standard feature on many Top-Load washers.

Using the Fast Pour Bleach Dispenser on a Top-Load Washer

The dispenser is located on the front, left corner of the washer top. It has a large opening and an air reservoir below the top to allow you to pour liquid quickly through the dispenser. Bleach flows down the inner side of the tub where it mixes with water and is diluted before it comes in contact with the clothes.

Front-Load and HE Top-Load washers have bleach dispensers that dilute the bleach with water and dispenses it at the appropriate time in the cycle, rather than dispensing it as the washer is filling.

If your washer model does not come with an automatic bleach dispenser, allow the washer to fill with water and then add bleach. It is never recommended to pour bleach directly on fabric/clothing, which could result in discoloration of fabric.
