Top Load Washer - Rinse Water Level
Modern washers are much more energy efficient than models from previous decades. This energy efficiency includes water usage and electrical usage.
Rinse Water Level Expectations for a Top Load Washer
Starting March of 2015, top load washers use noticeably less water during the rinse portion of the cycle than the wash portion of the cycle, unless the fabric softener option is selected. The fabric softener option is typically call Deep Fill Rinse or Power Rinse.
- If the washer does not have a fabric softener rinse option or if it is not selected, the washer will not spin between the wash and rinse portion of the cycle. It will drain and then complete several spray rinses and then drain again. After the rinse water is drained the machine will go into the final spin.
- If the fabric softener rinse option is selected, the washer will fill for the rinse, and should match the wash fill level.
