Range & Wall Oven - Control Slew Speed / Adjustment Speed
To increase or decrease the speed of setting/changing your oven temperature selection, most ranges and wall ovens with electronic controls with arrow up and down pads have an adjustment to this speed. This is called the "slew" or adjustment speed.
Adjusting the Slew Speed on the Oven Controls
By simply pressing and holding in the up and down pads for 3 to 5 seconds, you will get a 1 through 5 number, 1 being the slowest speed and 5 being the fastest speed. Increase or decrease to the speed you want using the up or down pad. Then, press the Clear/Off pad and the control display will go back to the time of day.
The initial default setting is 3.
On some newer models, the "slew" speed can be changed in the Special Features ("SF") mode. Enter the Special Features ("SF") mode by pressing the Bake and Broil pads at the same time for 3 to 5 seconds. When "SF" appears in the display, press the + or - pads or number pads as appropriate for your model to adjust the "slew" speed. Press Start to save the setting.
