Refrigerator - Partial Automatic Defrost

Compact refrigerators do not have a defrost system with a defrost heater. These models are described as Manual Defrost or Partial Automatic Defrost.

• Fresh food compartment defrosting takes place automatically every time refrigerator turns off. The freezer will need to be manually defrosted when frost or ice in the freezer is 1/4" thick. We recommend manually defrosting the unit as described in your Owner's Manual.  Download a copy of the Owner's Manual.
• We use the defrost description "Partial Automatic Defrost" on compact models with a separate fresh food and freezer section (freezer is not inside the main compartment) to indicate the fresh food section is frost free and the freezer is manual defrost. The directions for defrosting is the same as Manual Defrost.
