Washer - Concrete Cinder Block

GE and Hotpoint  washers often have a concrete cinder block sitting inside the case. It serves as a counter-balance to out of balance loads. This block is typically located opposite the motor and is secured by 2 long bolts with flat washers. If you have a washer with a cinder block on the right side of the motor, do not remove it. It is part of suspension system.
