Downdraft Cooktops and Ranges - Lava Rock

We do not recommend use of lava rock, charcoal, or any other heat source in our downdraft cooktops and ranges with grills. The design and performance of the grill eliminates the need for any other heat sources and their use may degrade grill performance and might cause damage to your modular cooktop.

Exception: This does not apply to Monogram Outdoor Grills, as some do use lava rock.
