Washer - Hot and Cold Connection Location

It is essential to the operation of a washer that you connect the hot and cold water lines correctly.

Connecting the Hot and Cold Water Lines Onto a Washer 

The Hot and Cold water line connections are on the back of a washer. These Hot and Cold connections are designated on the washer as follows:

• 1995 and newer - Hook up the Hot to the connection that has a “H” next to it and hook up the Cold to the connection that has a “C” next to it. All of our washers have a “H” and a “C” next to the Hot and Cold connections respectively.

• 1994 and earlier - The Cold water inlet connection is located on the top and the Hot is on the bottom. A "C" and "H" is stamped or cutout in the metal next to each valve.
