Water Softener - Soft Water on Vegetation

Soft water will not harm plants, grass or trees.

 

The water that is being discharged during the regeneration cycle is not toxic; however it is not considered potable (drinkable) water. It does contain large amounts of salt and can potentially kill the grass and foliage that it drains into. If possible, it would be best to drain it into a cistern.
