Range - Americana Ranges
Decades ago GE Appliances manufactured ranges which were assembled as one appliance with the range below and a second oven or microwave oven above. They were marketed as Americana ranges.
Understanding the Term Americana Range
The term "Americana range" referred to old (pre-1986) Hi-Low ranges with an oven or microwave on top and a full size range on the bottom. The term Americana was dropped after 1985.
Note: This is different than the Americana brand, which were GE and Hotpoint models sold exclusively at The Home Depot around 2004.
