Air Conditioner Warranty - Corrosion Protection
Room air conditioner warranties state that the warranty does not cover corrosion unless it is a corrosion-protected model. Most built-in and window heat-cool units with electric heaters in them have corrosion protection. This does not cover the outer wall case; it only covers internal condenser and evaporator coils.
