Water Filtration - TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is the measure of the combined content of all organic and inorganic substances (minerals) that are dissolved in water. Our Reverse Osmosis systems can operate on water supplies with a Maximum Feed Water TDS of 2,000 PPM and can remove 75-92% of TDS.

Other GE Appliance filters, including all refrigerator filters, are not rated for TDS reduction. They are not capable of removing a significant amount of the overall dissolved solids, except in the cases of specific contaminants such as lead and mercury. The TDS removal process usually requires a reverse osmosis system or a specialty filter to remove the dissolved minerals.

Note: TDS does include calcium.
