Refrigerator - Keurig® Brewing System - How to Use
How to use the single serve dispenser:
- Load K-Cup Pod: The brewer module pulls straight out of the rails under the right side of the control. Open the brewer module by pressing the button on the front of the lid. Drop the K-Cup pod into the brewer and press down firmly so that the lower piercing pin pierces the bottom of the pod. You should hear a snap or pop. Close the brewer lid so that it clicks into place.
- Start the Brewing:
- If the brewer is already in place with a pod loaded: Press the Hot Water button to bring up the Hot Water Selection Menu. Select "Keurig K-Cup Pod." so the hot water system will change into K-Cup mode. This will bring up the size selection menu.
- If you are putting the loaded brewer into place: Slide the brewer into the rails under the right side of the control panel. The Keurig logo should face you. The size selection screen will be displayed automatically.
- Select Beverage Type: The system defaults to Coffee; use for any filtered K-Cup coffee or tea pod. For powdered beverages, like cappuccino, cocoa, etc., select the cocoa setting.
- Choose Size Selection: Select the size from the touch-screen display. You have the choice of 6 oz, 8 oz, and 10 oz. The unit will automatically start to heat after you select the size. If you need to fill a mug that is larger than 10 oz, we recommend brewing 2 pods or adding hot water to the beverage.
- Put Mug in Place: Ensure the mug being used is large enough for the size selected. The mug should be placed on the drip tray under the brewer and aligned with the red brew spout on the front of the brewer.
- Hot Water Ready: When heating is completed, the “Hot Water Ready” screen will appear, you will hear a beeping sound, and the red light around the hot water knob will glow. Rotate the hot water knob counter-clockwise and push in to start dispensing. The brewer cannot be removed while dispensing.
Note: Opening one of the doors or pressing any button on the control while brewing will immediately cancel the operation. If any interrupted or abnormal dispenses are experienced, please use the hot water feature and dispense 10 oz of water, at any temperature, to purge the system.
