Gas Range - WB31X24998 / JXGRILL1 Cast Iron Reversible Griddle / Grill

The heavy-duty cast iron reversible grill/griddle WB31X24998, also known as JXGRILL1, is designed for use with select models of GE, GE Profile and GE Café Gas ranges. Because the grill/griddle interlocks with the grates, it will only work with Gas Free-Standing and Slide-In ranges with "Edge-to-Edge" cooktops (grates go to the edge of the cooktop) that list WB31X24998 / JXGRILL1 as an accessory on the model's product page under Related Products & Accessories. Note that JXGRILL1 and JXGRILL2 are not interchangeable.

About the Grill/Griddle

• The reversible grill/griddle measures 19-1/2" x 9-1/4" and has a cooking area of approximately 15-3/4" x 8-3/4" on both sides.
• The ribbed grill side of the reversible grill/griddle can be used for food that is normally grilled such as meats or vegetables.
• The griddle side provides an extra-large cooking surface for meats, pancakes and other foods usually prepared in a skillet.

How to Use the Grill/Griddle

• The reversible cast-iron grill/griddle can only be used over the center burner of the range top. To position the reversible grill/griddle, remove the center grate (if present) and replace it with the grill/griddle.

How to Clean the Grill/Griddle

• The reversible grill/griddle should be seasoned before first use and after cleaning. Rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly, then prepare the surface with cooking spray or wipe with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Wipe off any excess oil with a dry paper towel.
• To clean food soils, use a stiff brush and hot water. Follow this by seasoning the grill/griddle.
• Using soap is not recommended and do not wash the reversible grill/griddle in the dishwasher.
