Ice Maker - Operation of Nugget Ice Model UNC15NJII

The Nugget Ice standalone ice maker will cycle on and off as needed. An ice level sensor in the storage bin will monitor the ice levels. As ice is created,it will fall into the storage bin in batches. The large capacity bin holds 26 lbs of nugget ice, and can produce up to 80 lbs a day. The chewable nugget ice size varies but is approximately 1/4" in diameter.

  • Note:  These Ice Makers do not cool the ice compartment like a refrigerator or freezer. The temperature of the bin relies on the ice made to stay cool.  The design intent is that the unit makes ice and that ice continuously melts.  

The ice maker automatically shuts off when the bin is full. The ice maker will restart when more ice is needed. 

 

ImageWater constantly circulates over a freezing plate. As the water freezes into ice, the minerals in the water are rejected. Water containing rejected minerals is drained after each freezing cycle. Fresh water enters the machine for the next ice making cycle. There is an optional Ice Maker Drain Pump Kit (UPK3) available to purchase if a drain pump is needed. Note: Tubing included with UPK3 is 5/8".

 

The unit will alert you when it is time to clean the product. On the control panel, the Time To Clean light will glow yellow when it is time to clean the machine. The light will come on after 6 months of use and will remain on until the system is cleaned. Consult the Owner's Manual for step-by-step directions. Download a copy of the Owner's Manual
