Advantium Oven - Toasting

Advantium ovens typically feature a Toast option. This article explains the design and use of the Toast option.

Using the Toast Option in an Advantium Oven

Toast uses the upper lamps, lower heater and convection system to toast food by setting a toasting time. Before you begin, make sure the turntable is in place. Use only the metal tray when toasting.

Caution: The oven and door will get very hot when speedcooking, convection baking, broiling, warming or toasting. Cookware will become hot. Oven mitts will be needed to handle the cookware.

The Owner's Manual for your specific model covers the proper cookware to use for all cooking options in detail.

Do Not Use the Following Cookware or Coverings During Toast

  • Use of the glass or white ceramic tray can affect cooking performance and could also cause the tray to crack.
  • Do not use the wire rack(s).
  • Do not cover dishes or use plastic containers, plastic cooking or roasting bags, plastic wrap, wax paper or paper.

Cooking Tips

  • For best results when toasting, use the metal tray.
  • No turning is necessary for most foods.
  • When toasting nuts, stir halfway through the cooking time.
  • Toast thicker pieces a longer time, thinner pieces a shorter time.
