Compactor - Drawer Will Not Open
The compactor drawer/door will not open if the ram is not all the way up. If your trash compactor drawer will not open, the following tips may help you to resolve the concern without the need of a repair.
Checking a Compactor Drawer That Will Not Open
If the drawer won't open, please check the following:
- Lift up on the foot pedal and then release it to allow the ram to complete a cycle.
- Confirm there is power going to the compactor by making sure the cord is plugged in securely and that the house circuit breaker has not tripped.
