Compactor - Ram Operates But No Compacting Occurs

If the compactor ram is working but does not seem to be crushing (compacting) the trash in the drawer:

• The drawer must be at least 1/2 full of trash before the ram can start to compact the trash. The ram does not go all the way down to the bottom. As the drawer gets full, the ram will be able to compact the trash and the trash at the bottom of the drawer will then be crushed.
• Trash could be stuck between the ram and the basket.
