Refrigerator - AutoFill Pitcher Not Filling
Some refrigerators feature an AutoFill pitcher that automatically refills from a docking station and offers two convenient pouring options. This innovative pitcher allows you to enjoy chilled, filtered water for yourself or a group of people.
Checking an AutoFill Pitcher That Is Not Working
If the AutoFill pitcher is not filling with water, the following tips can help to resolve the issue.
- Make sure the refrigerator is connected to water and the water is turned on.
- Make sure the water filter cartridge is seated correctly in the cartridge holder prior to rotating it into the housing. The teeth on the filter should be seated in the grooves in the holder.
- The filter may be frozen. Try installing a new filter or the filter bypass plug. If water begins to dispense, then increase the fresh food temperature to prevent future filter freezing.
- If the pitcher is not detected, remove the pitcher and reseat it into the dispenser or docking station. Make sure it is seated properly.
- For models that feature a pitcher with a float, make sure the float inside the pitcher is free floating. If the float is stuck, hold the lid upside down to see if the float moves in the track. If ice has formed, run the lid under warm water to melt the ice and increase the fresh food temperature.
