On some GE Profile, Café and Monogram Advantium Ovens as well as some Café Series Microwave Ovens, the clock may dim, go blank or disappear. The clock automatically turns off. This is designed to meet June 2016 Department of Energy regulations. The time of day will not stay on for the following models:

After setting the clock, the time will remain on the display for 30 seconds before turning off. The time is also displayed while the door is open and for 30 seconds after the door closes. This function cannot be overridden.
When using the Timer or a cooking feature, the time remaining will continue to be displayed until the timer countdown or cooking cycle is completed. If "Settings" or a cooking feature is cancelled, the display will go blank and the time will not be displayed.
