GE Appliance - Cleaning Slate Appliances

Slate is a highly engineered, low-gloss matte, metallic paint finish that resists fingerprints and doesn't show dirt easily. It is important to properly maintain the Slate finish.

 

Maintaining the Slate Appliance Finish

Cleaning Any Slate Finish Surface or Gray Plastic / Painted Surfaces

  • Wipe with a damp, clean soft cloth using a mild household or dish detergent. Dry thoroughly with a dry, clean soft cloth.

  • You may also use Cerama Bryte™ Appliance Cleaner (WX10X392) to clean the Slate finish.

  • Use appliance wax or polish to shine.

Cleaning the Stainless Handles on Slate Appliances

  • Wipe with a damp, clean soft cloth using a mild household or dish detergent. Dry thoroughly with a dry, clean soft cloth.

  • You may also use a stainless steel cleaner like Cerama Bryte™ Stainless Steel Cleaner (PM10X311) or a similar product to clean the stainless handles.

Do not use scouring pads, powdered cleaners, bleach or cleaners containing bleach to clean the Slate finish.
