Air Conditioner - Beeping
A Window or Built-In Air Conditioner may make a beeping sound. The following is an explanation of when you would expect the Air Conditioner to make a beeping sound.
Understanding the Normal Beeping Sound on an Air Conditioner
When It Is Normal for an Air Conditioner to Beep One Time
The power cord is connected. All lights in the display are on and double "8s" will appear in the LED display for 2 seconds. If there is no other operation to press other buttons, lights are off.
If there is a power interruption or failure, all lights in the display will come on and double "8s" will appear in the LED display for 2 seconds when power is restored. Then, the Air Conditioner will run in the mode that ran before the power failure.
A button (including a remote control button) is pressed while power is on. The display light can be on or off.
When continued pressing of the "+/-" buttons to increase/decrease the temperature or time occurs, it will only beep once at the moment pressed.
When It Is Normal for an Air Conditioner to Beep Two Times
A button press (including a remote control button) failed. The display light and/or double "8's" is not changed.
