French Door Refrigerator - Cold Air Only Coming Through One Vent
Some French Door Refrigerators have an icemaker compartment in the door. The icemaker in the door needs cold air from the Freezer to operate. There are vents on the left side of the Refrigerator that meet up with vents on the side of the icemaker casing on the door.
Understanding Cold Air Only Coming Through One Vent on the Left Side of the Refrigerator
- The top vent supplies the icemaker compartment with cold air from the Freezer when the door is closed. You may feel cold air coming from the top vent when the door is open.
- The icemaker area needs air flow, so the bottom vent is for return air. Air from the icemaker air is channeled back into the Freezer through this duct. You will not typically feel cold air coming from this vent.
